Former MOVING TARGETZ vocalist Ivan Judd brings his articulate and acute observations about adult life and newspaper headlines to his new project which he affectionately calls Cheaper Than Therapy. Judd's spent the better part of the last 30 years filtering the rigors of life and, particularly, rock and roll Iiving through the bands he's fronted including 1980's hardcore punk act SwindleD, Was Ist Los? (with members of The Young Lions, Blibber & The Ratcrushers and The Sadies' Travis Good), Moving Targetz (with The First Time's drummer Stacey Washington and Bullseye Records president Jaimie Vernon) and 1990's grudge addicts Sulphur (featuring future Avril Lavigne guitarist Jesse Colburn).

Cheaper Than Therapy's 2003 debut release, 'Terminal Adolescence', was written and performed by Judd with the assistance of fellow musician and producer Brian Gagnon (The Hunt, Frank Soda). The album runs the gamut from introspection ("Everything About You", "Scars You Can't See") to political hot buttons like sexuallity ("Homophobic") and 9/11 ("Movie"). Judd also included a remake of Moving Targetz's seminal 1989 radio hit "Do You Believe In The Fantastic?" with a twist and revision that inspired Triumph guitarist Rik Emmett to call it "Hymn For An Agnostic" which is how it appears on the CD.

Following the release of the disc, Judd assembled a full-time band to reproduce the tracks live and it includes former Moving Targetz members Jaimie Vernon (bass) and Sharon Judd (backing vocals, keyboards, percussion) and Sulphur guitarist Charlie X.

In the last year Cheaper Than Therapy has been working on soundtrack material for Montreal B-movie horror producer SV Bell. Five songs from 'Terminal Adolescence' appeared in the soundtrack to 2004's 'The Night They Returned' (now on DVD). Judd also wrote the title track and Cheaper Than Therapy perform the song in the 2005 alien zombie flick 'Purple Glow' which is due on DVD in August. SV Bell has also commissioned another song called "Isabelle" as the theme to his currently-in-production slasher flick 'She Demons Of The Black Sun' . Ivan Judd also co-stars in the film in his first acting role.

Cheaper Than Therapy have been busy adding their immutable stamp to two tribute CDs as well with remakes of "Mister Manson" for the 'Around The Universe In 80 Minutes: A Tribute To Klaatu' and "Elevator" for 'Men In Plaid: A Tribute To The Bay City Rollers' Bullseye Records anniversary re-issue.

Cheaper Than Therapy has finished recording its next album, 'Forbidden', for a July 2007 release and will be touring southern Ontario. The new live act includes Ivan Judd (guitar, vocals), Sharon Judd (vocals, keyboards), Jaimie Vernon (bass), Kelvin Mask (lead guitar), and Dave Thomson (drums).
