Now available for the first time, digitally, since 1996:
The demos that landed The Dudes their deal with CBS Records in 1975.
They were YOUNG DUDES then, all bluster and promise...a little craziness in a sea of Canadian aplomb...a party of good friends disguised as a rock and roll band, who's apparent goal in life was to drink for free and get paid for it. They were DUDES, man!
From the first gig at Cafe Campus, to the last, last call at The Edgewater, Les Dudes threw the party that Montreal attended.
The "All The Old Demos" CD was the REAL THING. The recordings that go The Dudes their BIG AMERICAN RECORD DEAL that came complete with The Bad American Record Producer and his sidekick, The Unbelievably Bad Engineer. These are the songs the way they sounded before the Certifiably Bad Situation we found ourselves in. These are the songs the time The Dudes recorded them. These are the songs that filled The Mustache, The Edge, and all the other places we played. They might not sound expensive, they might not have that new car smell...but these tracks are the way The Dudes *were* and they still rock the house.
